Career Management Forum

Career Management Forums (CMF) are briefings lasting approximately 1 hour with a question and answer session.


CMF educate TPU officers on the purpose of the Career Management Office, promotion board process, military and civilian education requirements and the overall keys to career success in the Army Reserve.


Following the informational briefing and Q & A session Career Management Officers are available to assist, with the unit’s personnel section, TPU officers in records update and correction.


Contact your CMO for more information on progressing your career by attending a forum in your area.

 Career Information

Again, thank you for your service and dedication to your unit and the Army Reserve. 

Career progression is important and it is your responsibility to ensure you meet the standards to maintain your career as an Officer in the United States Army Reserve. 


As a Major in the Army Reserve, it is necessary for you to complete Intermediate Level Education (ILE) and other requirements to assist in furthering your career.  These requirements are listed in DA PAM 600.3.

Command and General Staff Officer Course (CGSOC)

If you are in these zones of consideration, you must have completed ILE CC (Phases 1-3) in order to be educationally qualified.  Last day to submit all documentation to the board is usually about a week prior to the board. 

·         Make sure you review your Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) through your HRC website at 

·         You must first correct those items in your OMPF and DAPMIS, as applicable via your S-1.

·         Your My Board File (MBF) pulls your required board files from OMPF and DAPMIS. 


To access MBF go to, click on “My Record Portal” and Log in using Army Knowledge On-Line (AKO) Username and Password. Click the icon for “Reserve Record”, and then click “Board File” under the navigation menu. Follow the instructions on the page to review the MBF.
